8FIELDS · COMBAT GEAR

If we had to describe in a single word what we like most about 8Fields we would say: options. We are mesmerised by the amount of options that it puts on the table so that we can choose how to go out and play.

The number of items that we can add to our configuration, in addition, is increased thanks to their affordable prices. So we can fully gear up with a standard budget.

SMALL ADMIN POUCH

· The vest of this session does not carry the typical pocket on the top of the plate, so making this pouch very useful.

· It has cordura strips3 in the corners to help us detach the velcro that closes it...so tightly!

· It has four molle loops to hold the pouch’s content and find things more easily when you open it.

JUMP PLATE CARRIER V2 WITH DUMMY SAPI PLATES

· It includes a fixed kangaroo pocket1 to carry three M4 magazines, it has elastic cords to hold them, which we removed to achieve a faster release.

· The skeletal style cummerbunds2 are adjustable by an elastic cord on the back (although they are hidden by the rear panel). We can attach pouches in its molle that

· increase our load capacity or just leave the straps; lighter and more breathable. It has a mesh fabric inside, through which we can see the dummy plates that it includes and that, despite the hardness of the polymer of the plates, they are comfortable once you get used to them.

MOLLE TRIPLE RIFLE MAG/GP POUCH

· This pouch allows you to carry a second line of 3 magazines1 with retention elastic cords along with an admin pocket2 offering a low profile.

· The inside of the pocket is made of Velcro to be able to attach admins that allow us to organize its content. And thanks to the side straps it won't open at all, keeping its contents safe.

· It has elastic bands3 on the sides to carry chemical lights, a CAT turnstile, or anything we need.

DROP-DOWN UTILITY POUCH FOR ARMOR CARRIER

· Also known as the “tummy pouch”, this type of pouch covers our food excesses and offers us an extra storage space in vests as we have seen in the SEAL Team series.

· Thanks to the outer Velcro4 we can attach patches or Velcro friendly items like this cartridge holder that makes reloading easier and allows us to carry more things with us.

· The inside opens completely, so we have to be careful when opening it, but thanks to the elastic organizers5, we can hold the content and have it neatly arranged to be able to find it easily since being so low it may be difficult for us to see it.

RADIO POUCH UNDERWING

· Carrying the radio inside the cummerbund allows us to save space, carrying it attached to the body so that it is not turned on and does not bother at all.

· It has two elastic loops1 to carry a marker or a chemical light bar, although removing it from within the cummerbund can be complicated, not to mention trying to put it back again.

· The space of the pouch is for a type PRC-152 or PRC-148 radio, although a smaller radio can also be stored thanks to the pressure of the cummerbund.

HORIZONTAL DOUBLE M4/M16/AR-15 MAG POUCH SET

· These pouches mimic the side ballistic plates, converted into double M4 pouches. The outside has molle2 so we can attach other pouches, although they go under the arms, so beware that the extra volume could be bothering.

· The release of the horizontal magazines becomes quite comfortable although, in this case, the use of the elastic cords3 is necessary to avoid losing them.

ASSAULT BACK PANEL

· This type of panels allows you to set up the entire back of the vest in a moment and with just one pouch, without sacrificing its great versatility. A true discovery.

· The ABP allows us to carry: the hydration bag1, 3 grenades or 6 M4 magazines2, and a large admin pocket3 in which we can carry anything we want from food, BBs, spare glasses...

· It must be clear that the items we carry on the back is for a partner to use (in the case of grenades) or at least we will need a partner to help us access the content (in the case of the admin), since taking off the vest during a game is not an option.

BANDOLIER GRENADE

· In this grenade holder we can carry up to twelve 40 mm grenades4, either as a waist belt, or crossed over the chest as a shoulder strap.

· Thanks to the Velcro closure5, the interior space can be adjusted to accommodate from 40 mikes to Thunders or models from other brands, all safely.

· The clip closure is very safe and we can adjust the length of the strap to be able to tighten it to the body and keep it still when running or with some slack that allows us to better access the grenades.

CONCLUSION

We chose the vest, a JPC V2, we set it up with all the accessories that we could, maybe more than we would have normally chosen to play, so that you get the image, we carried 10 magazines plus the one inside the gun. Depending on the game you will carry more or less items, some that may be missing in this one you may need in the next one. Or perhaps something we found very comfortable may not be so for you. But that was what the experiment was about, trying all the options offered by the configuration and see how it adapted to the way we play. What would you have chosen and what would you have done without?
