There is a core idea that is very true in the airsoft, and that any veteran can confirm: "You never have everything you need." And it is not only because we have an eagerness to buy gear endlessly. But because brands like EmersonGear keep on updating their catalogues to offer the gear with which to recreate the operators that are deployed in missions all around the world. Gear tailored to our needs.

EmersonGear 419 Plate Carrier Multicam Black (EM7376MCBK)

This model by Emerson Gear resembles in some way the base of ArmaBus II by LBX, only that it dispenses with the net with molle on the side and replaces it with an elastic band very similar to the "Elastic Cummerbund" by the North American brand.

We like the option of the elastic band since it is easier to wear the vest close to the body without having to adjust it depending on the layers of clothes we wear. And it is a nice touch that it has two "handles" to release the Velcro, which are as sticky as can be!

The plate coupling system is by Velcro but they can be secured with the two clips to prevent them from slipping due to weight or friction. In addition, the clips are hidden under an elastic fabric that protects them from accidental knocks or from being released. Two of the options that Emerson offers for this vest are:

· The standard one; a simple very comfortable triple pocket when removing the magazines, with rubber retention and molle on the front to be able to mount a second line. But if you like returning the empty magazines to the pouch, then it is rather uncomfortable. Trying it at home is one thing, but doing so in the midst of battle is totally different; it will require training and expertise, but it will still not be the fastest or most convenient system to use with just one hand.

· The EM6407, is a version of the previous one but in elastic. And has room for 3 magazines as well, but with the difference that when taking out each magazine, the fabric shrinks reducing the profile of the panel.  The good thing is that it is easy to take them out as the elastic band will even help us in its extraction. But, we recommend you use a dump pouch for empty loaders because if it is not easy to put them back in the normal situation, in this it becomes even more complicated to do it under pressure when we are in combat.

Regarding the back plate, it looks like a simplified version, something very much in line with the overall spirit of the vest. Which can be very handy if we do not carry much gear or if we have to carry a backpack during a match.

EmersonGear CP Style

Adaptive Vest -Heavy Version Coyote Brown

(EM7397CB)

This vest follows the style of the AVS (Adaptive Vest System) by Crye Precision. It allows you to choose between carrying the plates with a harness with which it is more comfortable to carry more weight, or dispense with it and carry the plates with "skeletal" bands of three or two molle lines. You could even build a configuration in which you can dispense with one of the plates and replace it with a backpack or a chest rig. As a matter of fact, all of us 0'20 players have an Emerson AVS in our closet. A very popular choice we recommend.

This configuration mounts the back plate on a harness that protects the shoulders and sides. It provides a bigger look to the vest, but make no mistake, it is ready to be easily disassembled if the operator is wounded or drowning. Now, you will have to pay attention to the instructions and see which of the assembly systems is better for you.

Unlike JPC-style models, the "kangaroo" pouch for the magazines is in the own plate holder instead of the flap that remains over the closing of the sides. This is more comfortable because if you do not use it, it can not be seen, and if you do use it, the Velcro closure will not comb at the edges as it can happen with the other system.

The rear plate besides incorporating the conventional molle lines has two zippers to the sides to be able to install, in the style of the JPC 2.0 by Emerson Gear, a rear panel with a pre-set configuration or a backpack. Yes, yet another good reason to continue browsing the catalogue of this brand.

As an additional complement to this vest, and obviously sold separately, there are pouches for 6x6-inch ballistic plates (EM8329CB). These pouches are mounted in the harness and offer protection in the parts where the serial plates do not reach.

One of the problems that operators encountered when they started using NVG on their helmets was that the weight would unbalance towards the front. So someone started to fill a small pouch of sand and place it in a rudimentary way on the back of the helmet to compensate the weight. Luckily there has been improvements to this.

EmersonGear Helmet Counter Weight Bag Multicam(EM8624MC)

This pouch is attached by Velcro to the back of the helmet. When opening the double clip you unfold the three ends with Velcro closure that allow you to place inside the NVG’s battery or a simple counterweight. Although depending on the helmet you have maybe you should stick more Velcro so that the pouch has a larger surface to hold on to.

EmersonGear Helmet Accessory Pouch Coyote Brown

(EM8826CB)

The design of this pouch offers a double fastening system to the helmet, in addition to the Velcro in the back it has two strips with hooks to attach it to the screws that hold the rails at the end of the FAST type helmets, making it almost impossible to lose it. When you open the flaps with Velcro closure there is an elastic band stitched to place 5 CR123A batteries, or small counterweights. This design hardly takes up space in the helmet so it allows you to mount more accessories on the back of the helmet as IR lights, or even a "name tape" on the outside of the Velcro.

Sewing pouches in a molle is using LEGO parts; depending on what you want to create you must put each of the pieces in a different order. The same happens with these pouches, the three are empty inside and depending on what you want to store in them they must be sewn in one of the parts of your equipment.

EmersonGear 16cm*11cm Communication Pouch Black(EM9333BK)

Emerson call it "Communication pouch" and we see how they place it on the side of a plate carrier. But due to its size it rather seems perfect to place it on the front of the PC, just above the magazines. And carry small items such as a GPS or a flashlight (taking advantage of the internal cord to secure it), food bars, or even the mobile phone.

EmersonGear Concealed Glove Pouch/500D Multicam

(EM9336MC)

The disposable latex gloves are an essential accessory in the equipment of any operator with a sanitary role. A detail that has so far gone unnoticed by many players but provides a nice touch of realism to our sanitary equipment and of course a plus in terms of recreation and a greater immersion in the history of the game. This pouch closes directly with a zipper without protections so you will have to be careful not to pinch the gloves (to avoid breaking them) when opening and closing. Nevertheless, to access the gloves there is an opening in the upper part protected by two elastic flaps that overlap, making it easy to access with your fingers, preventing dirt that can spoil them from entering.

EmersonGear 17cm*17cm Rescue Pouch Coyote Brown

(EM9332CB)

This square pouch can obviously be used for many purposes. But the Velcro at the back stands out, with which you will be able to attach it to the vest without needing to sew the molle. If you are going to use it to carry batteries, CO2 or chemical lights, you may be more interested in wearing it sewn, and you have the option of doing so. But if, as its name suggests, you use it as a health kit, it will be good for you to be able to detach it in one go and throw it to the medic to tend to us or to a partner.

EmersonGear RightHand 579

Gls Pro-Fit Holster Warm Grey (EM6284K)

This holster replicates Safariland's GLS Pro-Fit system in terms of design and philosophy. A rigid holster that, contrary to what we are used to seeing in the market, is not exclusive for a single pistol model but is capable of holding up to a total of 250 different pistols. Or at least that happens with real models, remember that some of the airsoft replica guns are larger or smaller than the models that replicate and that can alter the operation, you can adjust the holster by means of a screw on the back side to test it. The second thing we liked most about this holster is that despite the simplicity of its design, it is not a passive retention design. What does this mean? It means that it will not be enough to pull it to draw, so you can prevent someone from taking it or accidental drops. You will have to hold the pistol holstered and then your middle finger will be at the level of the release that is hidden from view on the inside to instinctively release it, leaving all the fingers in the firing position.

EmersonGear 2.0 UPF50+ Arm Cover

(EM9345MBKL / MC)

The heaters are sleeves that you can use to escape the cold of dawn; or some protection to prevent the skin from burning when playing in the hottest hours of the day; or even as an item to protect you from scrapes and the direct impact of the BBs on the skin. These sleeves are available in various camouflage patterns so they do not give us away, and you want to do without them at any point, you can wrap them into a ball and keep them in any pocket of the uniform.

As you can see, EmersonGear is serious about gearing us up for events with the most modern material in its Tactical Gear line. The third along with the Street line and the Blue Label, which make up their catalogue. A wide array of possibilities in which the hardest thing will be to be able to decide what not to keep.
