STYLE CLASSIC SD6 Blue Edition
Possibly the SD6 MP5 model is one of the most iconic replicas in the world of airsoft. I would almost go as far as saying that it is one of those replicas that all of us who have been playing for years have had or at least we have wished to have it in our “airsenal”.
If there is a leading brand that offers MP5 on the market, that is CYMA, which calls this model CM.041 SD6 and it is also a BLUE EDITION. In other words, it is internally improved and its high range is within CYMA's repertoire.
What would we highlight of the
CM.041 SD6 Blue Edition?

Always with a silencer
The MP5 SD6 model is a submachine gun with an integrated silencer. It is designed to always go with this configuration, that is why its airsoft replicas such as this CYMA model are designed in the same way and the silencer, unlike other replicas, is a fundamental part and is
part of the structure. In other words, we are not going to be able to remove it and put a muzzle in its place, that is not an option. This is not a threaded silencer, it is a snap fit silencer or as Marui style popularly says (basically because it has the same system).
An improvement would be making its internal barrel longer, which by the way is a precision barrel with 6.03 mm in length. The barrel reaches to the beginning of the silencer and here you could upgrade it with a longer internal barrel of up to an extra 10 cm, which is almost the silencer's own measurement.
Classic handguard
The SD models stand out by this interesting polymer handguard with a certain roughness to improve the grip, which is popular as it has been drilled in a custom way by real operators and later by airsoft players to add a small RIS in its lower part (A) screwing it or with metal flanges and thus being able to adapt a vertical grip or a flashlight, making this classic model more tactical.
Another very common customization is to add a flashlight mount around the silencer itself (B) to obviously attach a flashlight, this piece can be custom made, you can find it on Google as "MP5 SD flashlight mount"
Internal parts
The model has a version 2 gearbox that stands out for its steel gears mounted on reinforced 7 mm bearings, the piston is made of polymer with full metal teeth, the cylinder head is CNC with a double O-ring and the piston head it is made of aluminium. All this to move a fairly powerful spring that is offering 390 fps with 0.20 gr BBs.
The internal barrel length’s is 220 mm (it stops at the beginning of the silencer) but it is a good precision 6.03 mm barrel that offers good results in its firing tests.
Do we recommend this replica?
We have said it at the beginning and we will repeat it again, the MP5 SD or CM.041 SD6 as CYMA calls is a replica which you will surely value buying once in your airsofter life. It's sleek, it's got SAS glamour, it's a good CQB replica and the silencer looks amazing on it.
