Who is Robert O'Neil?

Robert O'Neill jumped onto the tabloids after his identity was revealed on television. O'Neil became famous for being the Seal who shot OBL (Obama Bin Laden), on the night of May 2nd of 2011, on a raid of his residence in Pakistan.

The former SEAL has accomplished many other missions. He participated on Red Wings operation in Afghanistan. Other well known operation was the hijacking of the ship Maersk Alabama by Somali hijackers.

He's been awarded 52 times, including two silver stars, 4 bronze stars and three presidential unit mentions.

The Maersk Alabama hijacking consisted of a set of events that started by 4 Somali pirates taking the ship at 240 nautic miles Southeast the Somali port of Eyl. The rescue of the ship was done by the US on the 12th of April of 2009.

On 12th of April, snipers from SEAL team of US Navy, opened fired and killed the three hijackers in a lifeboat. Captain Phillips was rescued in good conditions. Snipers of "SEAL Team Six" neutralized the menace shooting syncronized.
