Tokyo Marui FNX-45 Tactical — one of Marui’s best?

The Tokyo Marui FNX-45 Tactical is one of the most recognised GBB pistols in the modern Tokyo Marui catalogue. Based on the real FNX-45 Tactical from FN Herstal, this replica stands out for combining modern ergonomics, high capacity, and a platform designed for accessories straight from the factory.

Tokyo Marui kept several characteristic elements from the real model:
• Slide ready for micro red dot
• High sights for co-witness
• Threaded barrel for suppressor use
• Lower Picatinny rail
• Ambidextrous controls
All of this comes within a gas platform designed for modern tactical use.
One of the most interesting aspects of the FNX-45 is its shooting behaviour. Despite having a large slide, it maintains a very smooth and consistent cycle, something quite typical of many Tokyo Marui GBB pistols. The recoil is not especially aggressive, but it is fast and very controllable.
The pistol uses a double action/single action (DA/SA) operating system and includes an ambidextrous safety with decocker function, just like the real firearm. It also features a high-capacity magazine for a pistol platform, which helps significantly during long games or setups using suppressors and optics.

Externally, it combines polymer and metal while maintaining balanced weight without losing a solid feel in hand. It also quickly became a very popular base for customisation thanks to the huge amount of aftermarket parts and accessories available.

The FNX-45 Tactical does not aim to be the most compact or the lightest pistol. Its purpose is different: offering a modern, stable, and highly configurable platform within the GBB world.
And that is precisely why it remains one of the most recognisable tactical pistols in the Tokyo Marui catalogue.
