Beautiful, lightweight, and compact. That is how we would summarise the impression this new model from ICS gave us in just three words. That these Taiwanese manufacturers pay attention to every aesthetic detail across all their product lines is already well known, but with this particular model they have also managed to reduce the weight through the use of highly resistant polymers. This also significantly lowers the price for the player, while concentrating everything into a model measuring under 70 cm—meaning cornering and moving through tight spaces becomes effortless. Internals 

MOSFET 
To protect the electrical system of the replica, ICS has installed a MOSFET in these models. The idea behind this is to reduce electrical resistance and allow the replica to operate at a more efficient temperature, which in the long term increases the lifespan of the internals regardless of how intensively the model is used. 

This replica comes with a modular Version 2 gearbox (1), something we always love seeing in ICS M4s because it makes maintenance and opening the gearbox much easier. On top of that, they have included a quick spring change system (2), allowing direct access to the spring guide (with metal base and polymer tube) and the M100 spring (3).

The piston (4) and piston head (5) are also made from polymer, but they achieve very good air seal inside the cylinder (6), which features a teardrop-shaped opening to regulate the amount of air propelled with each shot. The cylinder head (7), as well as the nozzle (8), are also polymer. 
In the lower section, we find 8 mm steel bushings (9) supporting the classic ICS gears (10).

The motor (11) is an EVO I 25,000 RPM long-type motor, delivering around 300 FPS, although this may vary depending on local regulations. The hop-up chamber is polymer and uses a transversal wheel adjustment system similar to that found on G36 platforms. The inner barrel measures 186 mm and is not a precision barrel, although for such a compact model, it is more than sufficient.

The electrical system is protected by both a MOSFET and a mini fuse, with ICS even including a spare fuse in the box.
