The 75th Ranger Regiment (Airborne) is an elite command of United States Army operating as an elite force of light infantry, within the special operations forces belonging to the Special Operations Command (USASOC).

Each battalion can be deployed anywhere in the world within 18 hours.
The Rangers history predates the War of Independence. Captain Benjamin Church Church formed Rangers, who fought against the tribes of American Indians during King Philip's War.
Major Robert Rogers created a unit of Rangers during the French and Indian War would become known as Rogers Rangers.
