Emerald Warrior is the only exercise of combat irregular Defense Department, allowing joint training with other units to train and prepare operations worldwide.

Seventh Special Forces Group (Airborne), an operating unit of Special Forces US Army, was activated on May 20th, 1960.
It was reorganized from the 77th Special Forces Group, which was also stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Its objective is to conduct guerrilla operations and train the armed forces of friendly governments in the South, Central and North America and the Caribbean.
The 7th Special Forces Group participated in Operation Urgent Fury in Granada in 1983 and in Operation Just Cause in Panama in 1989. The 7th SFG, like all SFGs, they have been heavily deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan in the war on terrorism.
