AIRSOFT SHOTGUNS – TOP 5 FOR 2017 / SHOTSHOW DEBUT
by teamblacksheep
Airsoft Shotguns are the best things for Airsofters since they most of the times inexpensive and fun to shoot with now hard to follow manuals. There have been many over the years but we will take a look at the latest Airsoft Shotguns available now and coming out in 2017 to complete your wish list!
Honorable mention for the M3/DE/UTG/Bravo Tri-Burst shotgun for winning the hearts of Airsofters across the globe year after year for the 3 round spread and super affordable for any player giving the most satisfaction to cost ratio. Now lets get started!
1. Classic Army S013P CA870 (400-430FPS Spring Powered)
The Classic Army Spring powered shotgun will be covered in the Airsoft Atlanta Review Video and you will find out that the series of the tactical black and polymer or real wood furniture model will be solid metal making for a great milsim based shotgun. This shotgun is coined a “sniper” shotgun since it is Single-Shot at the 400-430-455 Feet Per Second (fps) ratings that most reviewers have come across. The spring will settle in time with use and be field legal but not CQB indoor legal. Along with the downside of the single shot option the magazine is not a standard Tokyo Marui spec shell but a box mag to hold 20 bbs. There is talk about Classic Army releasing a “spring downgrade How-To guide and kit” but unsure when that will happen, don’t worry the Airsoft Tech’s will have you covered before then.

2. JAG Arms M870 (350FPS Gas Powered)
Next up in the list of Airsoft Shotguns to get in 2017 will be the JAG Arms shotguns as seen in the Gun Gamers SHOTShow 2017 video at the JAG Precision booth. There will be a total of THREE shotgun varations available in mid 2017 as stated with a great price point of the mid $100’s. There will be a shorter CQB version and a longer traditional 870 type shotgun that is Green Gas powered and has a tri-burst option just like the Tokyo Marui 870 shotgun already on the market but with a better price. The third shotgun will be the tactical version with a top rail acting as a heat shield with a side saddle for extra shells. The full stock versions will have the gas reservoir in the stock and the CQB version will be in the buffer tube and already talk about setup for HPA to make for a better performing platform.

3. Tokyo Marui M870 (350FPS Gas Powered)
There are hundreds of videos on youtube praising the Tokyo Marui M870 models and here is a quick video from Airsoft GI Uncut showing how excited the shooter is to just hold the shotgun and use it. With more of a name for the brand and their high quality the Tokyo Marui will have the M870 Police and Breacher models which have been out but are still the most sought out after Gas Airsoft Shotguns. These models will have the 3 or 6 round burst option to give the user more of a spread down range or to conserve ammo but it is going to be a more true to life “shotgun” with a spread unlike the single or tri shot others have. The Tokyo Marui model will use a removable gas reservoir in the rearward section which allows for more use on the field since you can carry more and their magazine shaped design instead of a can of gas. Along with the upgrade parts including the HPA setups the Tokyo Marui 870 series is the way to go. Want the same high quality for a shotgun? Tokyo Marui has a total of three shotguns which are on the top of the game from the 870(gas) to the AA-12(aeg) and the KSG(gas).

4. Tokyo Marui KSG (350FPS Gas Powered)
Continuing with the trend of Tokyo Marui still making the best products for entire span of the Airsoft Industry the KSG bullpup shotgun is their latest offering for the Airsoft Players. This is a great video from RedWolf Airsoft Reviewing the Tokyo Marui KSG from the parts and history to the functions. This is the second attempt of the gas powered shotgun from Tokyo Marui and all the minor issues have been fixed and improved making it even better than the 870 which is already perfect. The same shells can be used which will make it easy to find, use and save money and same for the internal parts. The bullpup design of this KSG shotgun will make it the best CQB shotgun since it has the long inner barrels in a compact size and able to shoot out 3 or 6 bbs with each trigger pull. Airsofters will be able to enter and clear a room with ease now!
