THE PHANTOM EXTREMIS RIFLE (PER) SERIES IS THE PROPOSAL WITH WHICH APS START THE YEAR AFTER TWO YEARS OF DEVELOPMENT ON THIS MODEL.  ALTHOUGH, WHAT IS BEHIND THIS SERIES NAMED AFTER A SUPERHERO? WE DID AN IN-DEPTH ANALYSIS AND WILL NOW GIVE YOU THE KEYS SO THAT THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

· SINCE THE BEGINNING ·

This new muzzle, which APS has named ICEFYRE Muzzle Break reminds us, due to its bottom dotted part with several channels, to a model of the real manufacturer called Ares Armor, although the finish in three tips may rather remind us of another real model, ACC Blackout. 

What we liked is that instead of finishing the inner barrel in the thread of the muzzle, APS has taken advantage of the length of the muzzle to mount a 450 mm longer one making the barrel end at the end of the muzzle.

· READY TO SAVE TIME ·

This series carries a finer and lighter aluminium Keymod (the 10" Phantom Dash on the Mk.1 and the 12.5" Phantom Striker on the Mk.2). Its side flaps work as "hand stopper" to intuitively place the support hand at either end without having to attach accessories that add more bulk which would increase the weight of our replica. 

And speaking of usefulness, the new Phantom Low Profile Back Up Sights (LP BUS) are most useful in airsoft thanks to their open design which allows to aim intuitively. Unlike other designs which, regardless of how they resemble real models, are not so practical when playing airsoft.

· WHEN THE FUTURE IS NOW ·

It is APS itself who tells us about the futuristic and science fiction-like design of the body made of aluminium. We were surprised that it did not have the plate that closes the ejection port, while it does not need it since the inner plate protects the hop-up. Thanks to the functional bolt catch we can regulate it comfortably. The magazine release is ambidextrous, as is the PDW-style fire selector which includes a handwritten caption (Hold/Pain/Hell), emulating the personalisation that some operators make.

· BYE-BYE CLASSIC STOCKS ·

The R-Series Type 1 Stock is a tube-stock made of polymer which makes it very light (320 g) and allows us to carry the batteries inside the tube, in the hollow space behind the rubber recoil pad. This is very useful since the tube holds the fuse that protects the electrical system that would take up space. The QD coupling can be left in the stock or attach it to the KeyMod of the handrail (where it fits perfectly) and use the buckle of the stock for the rear coupling of the strap.

· NOT JUST ANOTHER  M4 PISTOL GRIP ·

While the design of the Phantom Overload is based on the classic M4 pistol grip, it includes improvements such as EVA surfaces, a thermoplastic polymer that prevents it from slipping at the same time it provides a better support for the palm (especially if we have large hands), improving the stability in the grip. In addition, this material helps absorb motor vibration which improves its performance and significantly reduces battery consumption up to 10.5 Amps.

· APS' TRADEMARK ·

The blowback system is an APS' trademark, two horizontal slots in which the protective plate of the ejection port fits thanks to two small teeth and that are pulled backwards by the piston in each shot. Simple, effective and cool. It does not use any battery, it does not generate breakdowns and it definitely looks very tacticool.

· SHOOT WITHOUT FEAR ·  

Regarding the pneumatic system the quality of the spring rail stands out, with metallic head and bearings. An element that is also found in the piston head, which has jagged plastic teeth and a first metallic tooth to prevent wear and tear.

· NOTHING TO STOP US ·

The gears of this APS fly over the 8 mm sealed bearings. As these reduce the friction of the gears as much as possible, allowing to make the most of engine power. Plus the fact that these are sealed bearings so they repel any dirt and improve performance over time.

FINALLY ONE OF THE GOOD ONES!

The main feature that stands out in the Silver Edge gearbox is the modification for the quick spring change, in this case fully functional as the stock's tube is screwed onto the body and when removed, we can directly remove the spring rail and the spring.
