BO MANUFACTURE CHIAPPA RHINO 60DS

If Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad or Hobbs in Fast & Furious look amazing shooting away the Rhino 60DS, we couldn’t miss the opportunity that BO gives us to try the airsoft version.

An airsoft revolver developed by Chiappa Firearms (Italy) engineers together with BO Manufacture (France) and manufactured by Wingun (Taiwan) to bring us the most realistic replica the market has ever known.

The most  realistic finish

Having the engineers of the brand to replicate the real gun is key. The Taiwanese were able to develop this system with the most similar weight, dimensions, operation, shouldering, compatibilities... of the real model that exists in airsoft. Players can enjoy a realistic replica with all the markings of the real weapon and a unique serial number that will also make your replica unique.

Who has fired this revolver?

It is likely that if you like realism in airsoft replicas, you are interested in which units use a certain model for its use. In the case of revolvers it is somewhat more complicated since it is not the type of weapon that the military or police opt for and, however, that does not mean that you have not seen it in much more “famous” hands such as those of:

Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) en Suicide Squad (2016)

Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) en Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

Antonia Dreykov / Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko) en Black Widow (2021)

Shooting under

One of the unconventional features that the replica inherits from the original model is that the barrel aligns with the bottom of the barrel instead of the top. In the airsoft replica this is an element that adds realism, in the real gun, however, this manages to drastically reduce the elevation of the gun in each shot, by lowering the axis of the barrel to almost the palm of the shooter's hand.

Autonomy: 100 shots per 12 g CO2 cylinder (according to manufacturer)

Aiming elements

The arrangement of the barrel with respect to the gripping hand already generates a more natural shouldering, even more so if this model also has an adjustable aiming elements (in optic fibre!). And despite everything in this model, the 60DS, it has a 50 mm Picatinny rail at the top of the barrel (not available on the 50DS) to place red dots, in addition to the similar rail it has at the bottom, to attach a flashlight or laser pointer.

What does this revolver sound like  to me?

It is true that a revolver, in general, is not in itself as popular among the general public as a Colt, a Beretta or a Glock and, nevertheless, surely you have had this Chiappa model in your hands, at least figuratively, if have you played any of these video games:

The Division (2014)

The Division 2 (2019)

ArmA III (2013)

Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (2017)

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (2012)

Power  under control

One of the greatest successes that we can point to in the work of Wingun, a large airsoft pistols and revolvers manufacturer, has been ensuring that the CO2 system of this model maintains around 0.95J of energy at all times. This translates to around 95 m/s or 312 FPS on average, which makes it suitable for the vast majority of gaming fields around the world.

Quality details

There are details in this replica that may go unnoticed at first glance, such as the indicator on the top of the hammer that will clearly indicate if the revolver is cocked or not. Or another of the unconventional details that it inherits from the real model, such as the hexagonal drum, with which the Italian manufacturer managed to reduce the width of the revolver to a minimum.

Operation

We will not need any tool to open the grips of this revolver through the upper tab. And by doing so we will access the compartment for the 12 g CO2 cylinder that can be adjusted thanks to the allen key termination that the grip has. This way we can shoot up to 6 BBs, one for each bullet that fits in the drum, which is released from the side of the hammer. To fire the pistol, we can manually preload the hammer or pull the trigger all the way with our finger when shooting.

Conclusión

If playing with a pistol is already more spectacular or cinematic than playing with a primary weapon, doing so with a revolver is even more cool than with any other secondary. And if not, think of the scene where Sheperd kills Ghost, that revolver may not have been a Rhino, but you can get hold of one to create the most epic moments ever seen in an airsoft game. While it may not be the most efficient replica of our hobby, that much is clear, there are few that will create so many moments worth remembering forever.
