APS GHOST PATROL TYPE M
The APS Ghost Patrol Type M is a two-colour model by the Hong Kong brand that includes lots of changes compared to previous models: handguard, stock, sights, etc. But it still leaves room for the surprise performance that we get thanks to its new Edge II gearbox. What do you think?
HANDGUARD
It is the first replica to assemble this 10.5” M-Lok MIL-STD handguard, a design that reminds us of the one in the Geissele Super Duty MOD1 Pistol- SBA3 and its MK16 Super Modular Rail handguard.
To sum up, an MLOK handguard with QD (Quick Disconnect) hooks to be able to release the rifle sling ring with just the press of a button. One of the APS details that we’ve liked is that they include Picatinny rails so we can keep using our usual accessories.
FALCON FOLDING SIGHTS
In this replica, APS includes a sight design that had never been seen before called Falcon. The front sight is made of optical fibre with an open triangle design so that aiming is more intuitive and nothing blocks our target when trying to aim. The rear sight uses an interesting circle system held by an X-shape which, although it may seem strange at the beginning, you quickly get used to and discover that it doesn’t really restrict our focus when aiming.
RS-4 STOCK
The Type-IV stock of the APS R-Series introduces its minimalist design consisting of two columns with six holes on the sides and 2.5 metres of paracord so that we can sew them as we wish, although APS gives us these two examples:
We will be able to use this paracord so we are left with a mount for the stock in case we don’t want to use the QD hook that we find on both sides.
FOLDING STOCK SYSTEM
In this replica, APS also presents its folding stock tube system. This makes it shorter, which might be an advantage in CQBs or when transporting it to the gaming field. The system is compatible with TM AEGs and we will be able to use the same stocks in its tube. We like the fact that the exposed part of the wiring is covered with a kind of spring that protects it from getting trapped when the stock is activated. We are also fans of the cord that they use to replace the rifle sling ring, which is quieter and handier.

CONCLUSION
Replica manufacturers also know how to design an assault rifle. This APS Ghost Patrol Type M is really attractive because its folding stock design makes it very handy, and given its more aesthetic aspects such as the handguard and Falcon sights. As well as its inner parts which, with the Gearbox Edge II, round off a very competitive offer for Airsoft players.
