Laser or no laser?
Barrage 2.5–10x40

From close quarters to mid-range engagements (Live fire), the Firefield Barrage 2.5–10x40 is conceived as a ready-for-anything optic. It is not a scope specialized for a single distance, but an adaptable tool that allows you to cover different scenarios without changing configuration.
The question is not whether it performs (that is beyond doubt), but which version fits your style: FF13064, clean and traditional configuration, or FF13065, with integrated red laser for more dynamic situations.
Both share the same mechanical base, optics and construction. What changes is how you decide to handle the final meters.

The essentials
1. Variable magnification 2.5-10x
2. Bullet Drop Compensator for .223 55gr (100–500 yd)
3. 1/4 MOA adjustment per click
4. Aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum tube, black anodized
5. 2-piece mount included
6. 40mm objective
7. Class IIIA 5mW red laser (532nm) on FF13065 model
8. Fully multi-coated AR Green anti-reflective lenses
9. IPX4 waterproof
10. Red / green illuminated Mil-Dot reticle (0-5 levels)

Design and construction
The Barrage 2.5–10x40 is built from aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum, with a black anodized finish and a solid structure designed for continuous use. At 205x80x85mm and 501 grams, it maintains a balance between robustness and handling.
The 2-piece mount allows direct and stable installation on a Weaver rail, without the need for additional accessories. It is a simple and effective solution.
The IPX4 standard ensures resistance against light rain and moisture, maintaining stable operation in demanding environments.

Optics and reticle
The fully multi-coated AR Green lenses improve light transmission and reduce reflections, providing greater contrast even in low-light conditions.
The second focal plane Mil-Dot reticle maintains constant proportions at any magnification, allowing more intuitive corrections.
The red / green illumination system features five levels per color, adapting to both indoor and outdoor environments.

BDC: structured correction
The integrated Bullet Drop Compensator is calibrated for .223 55gr, with markings from 100 to 500 yards. It allows quick elevation adjustments without complex calculations.

The difference: the laser
The FF13065 model integrates a Class IIIA 5mW red laser (532nm). At short distances or during rapid transitions, it allows target indexing without a full sight picture.
The FF13064 model omits this element, offering a cleaner and more traditional configuration.

Performance in game
2,5x: Mixed environment and fast transition
4-6x: Stable mid-range
8-10x: Identification and technical shot
The combination of treated optics, 1/4 MOA adjustment and integrated BDC turns the Barrage into a versatile platform for those who need adaptability without changing scope.

Conclusion
The Firefield Barrage 2.5–10x40 is a solid and adaptable platform. The difference is not in quality, but in tactical approach.
Simplicity or extra speed. Same base. Different way to play the distance.
