THE EVOLUTION OF THE AK TOWARDS MODULARITY
There are platforms that evolve. And then there are those that are reinterpreted. The Rossi GROM Mod.1 falls into this second group: an AK that keeps the essence it has always had, but adapted to how the game is played today. Its concept is no coincidence: it takes a classic base and brings it into a more current territory, where ergonomics and modularity make the difference.

what GROM is
“GROM” means thunder in Polish and Russian. But that is no coincidence: it is also the name of one of the most recognized Polish special operations units in the world. Rossi has given it a name that fits perfectly with what this series proposes.
The Mod.1 surname makes the concept clear: it is not an isolated model, but the beginning of a family within Rossi based on reinterpreted AK-style platforms. In this case, available in two color configurations:
AK, but not as you remember it
The GROM Mod.1 takes the AK74u as a reference, but moves away from the classic configuration in what really matters in-game: ergonomics and adaptability.
Handguard
Designed by ROSSI specifically for this model, the MOD.1 features a very low-profile handguard with a modular system, made of CNC aluminum. The handguard includes a Picatinny rail on the top and several modular slots to add grips or other accessories through this system.

Body
The MOD.1 features a metal body made from stamped sheet steel. It is a solid body, with no wobble, just what you would expect from a real AK. It gives off that sense of robustness that makes you think that, if it falls to the ground, you have nothing to worry about.
Stock
The GROM incorporates what for us is one of the best stock systems: it combines the classic M4 telescopic buffer tube, compatible with any M4 stock, with the possibility of folding the stock itself inward toward the body. Something very much appreciated when transporting a model that is already compact in itself.
The muzzle device: DTK-2, Russian origin in airsoft form
The Rossi GROM Mod.1 mounts a muzzle device inspired by the ZenitCo DTK-2, a muzzle brake designed for AK platforms in 5.45 and 7.62 mm calibers. In the real model, made of steel, its function is to reduce recoil and control muzzle rise by redirecting gases during firing.
Unlike a flash hider, the DTK-2 is a muzzle brake, focused on improving weapon stability in rapid fire.
In this replica, the piece is made of aluminum and, as is common in airsoft, its function is purely aesthetic, maintaining a direct reference to real configurations and offering that aggressive and current look.
