"I don't talk much and my rifle speaks only in monosyllables." This quote is from a Western movie and is the best way to describe this replica in a single sentence. Winchester began manufacturing rifles in the 19th century and, two centuries later, are still ready for action (literally). These models are not just for those who like to dress as cowboys, A&K has ensured that these replicas are fun thanks to their special loading system, and what would airsoft be without fun?

Sisters, almost identicals

This A&K model is available both in metal and plastic, which only affects the weight (plastic being lighter) and the sensations when you hold it (wood being warmer). While the colour of the wood is clearer, you can always customise it with some sandpaper and polish to provide a more "realistic" touch.

Pulling the lever

The loading system of this model is, perhaps, its main feature. This lever system is used to feed the 20 BBs it can hold. A word of warning though, when reloading very quick you can pinch your hand in the lever and the gun may get jammed due to overfeeding. Should this happen just turn the replica upside down to release the extra BB, fire a shot and load normally once again.

Walking cavalry

On the side of the body you can find an integrated ring which in the real model was used to hook it to the horse saddle and not lose the rifle during battle. But since you will not be on a horse, you can use it to fix the belt to prevent the noise of metal against metal that might compromise your stealth in the game... although you can always use duck tape too.

Old school to the bone

This model does not have a detachable magazine, the BBs are loaded as in the real model: by the side of the body. Only this time with a pipe and a ramrod like those which came with replicas ten years ago, unless you adapt a speed loader to the specific nozz

Get your gun, cowboy!

This replica is based on the Marushin model to offer a 1:1 replica of the real gun. The hop-up can be adjusted with an Allen wrench, once the loading area is opened when cocking you can access it. Although the continued use of the replica will wear down the rubber of the hop-up. Another interesting detail in its operation is the functional hammer, which is unusual in the GBB we've tested.

One load, many shots

The gas can be inserted below the muzzle, the tank has the capacity to fire more than four full loads (80 BBs!) if you give it sufficient recovery time, but we recommend to load the gas at home so that temperature changes have less impact when in the airsoft field.

The Winchester M1892 in

- Hollywood -

Rio Bravo  (1959) John Wayne

This John Wayne film is probably one of his best. In this film, "Duke" stars as a sheriff that locks himself up with his deputy and other assistants to prevent his prisoner from being released, at least not before reinforcements arrive.

Bandidas  (2006) Penélope Cruz

There is no need to go so far back in time to see this rifle. In this film, Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz join forces to seek vengeance, and the M1892 will be one of their favourite tools.

Unforgiven (2013) Ken Watanabe

Who starred in "Inception", "Batman Begins"... but also featured in this remake of Clint Eastwood's (Director of "Letters from Iwo Jima" in which Watanabe also starred).

Run all night (2015) Liam Neeson

Away from Western movies you can also find films like this one, in which Liam Neeson plays a veteran mercenary haunted due to his criminal career. Who said this model was not a present-day gun?

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) Megan Gale

We continue with a movie beyond time about a futuristic world, the mother of the main character is always holding this classic shotgun. We guess there is no need to explain what Mad Max is about, right?

MATERIAL: METAL AND WOOD

LENGTH: 635 MM

WEIGHT: 1,655 KG

HOP-UP: YES

POWER: 350 FPS*

CAPACITY: 20 BBS

POWER SOURCE: GREEN GAS

Small but powerful

This model seems like the shortened version of the M1892, but as you can see by the name it is a much older version. And although it is a much shorter version they share many similarities such as the number of BBs its can fire. However, the gas tank had to be sized down, and so it will be difficult to fire a third round of BBs

Epic airsoft

This was one of the most famous Winchester brand models and although this version, Randall, was not so famous it also featured in plenty of films such as "The Last Samurai". It was intended as a gun with a much longer barrel, and leg holsters can be found for such use. It may not be as effective as a semiautomatic pistol during a game, but it is otherwise absolutely epic.

Small? You have not seen the lever

One of the main differences besides the length is the size of the loading lever, which is large in this case. It may at first seem more comfortable when playing as it can fit all your fingers if you use gloves, but actually it is somewhat awkward if you need to fire quickly.

Do not touch, seriously

This is not a replica that we can easily customise. The internal parts don't have many upgrading options and the external parts are loyal to the times in which the gun was manufactured and are not intended to attach accessories. After using it we found no gas leaks, which would have been the only problematic thing, and it could be solved with the famous Teflon spray (although we had no need for it).

In short, this is a replica for players who are already tired of the M4. Collectors, reenactors, or just someone who wants something more than being just a GI Joe. The uniqueness of our hobby is to have fun and this is a replica to fulfil such purpose.
